Summer is the perfect time to visit Newton Court, here in the heart of Herefordshire. Below is a flavour of what will be happening through the summer, as well as of course being open for food and drinks 7 days a week. You’ll find more detail via the links and on our Events and Menu pages. We hope you’ll find something of interest, whether you are visiting with a large or small group, with family and / or friends.
Ready…Steady…Summer
Enjoy our Orchard
Knowl Orchard is the ancient orchard alongside Newton Court. It’ll be open for a stroll, orchard trails and to enjoy our Picnic Baskets. Even if you don’t reach the orchard you can still see it from the car park, terrace and cafe. Other views take in the Newton Court Cider production area, the hillsides opposite and the hay barn.
Pizza and BBQ
Pizza Fridays are in the diary each and every Friday through the holidays, aside from 2nd August when we have a private function running.
Pencil in pizzas for: 19th, 20th, 26th July and 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th August.
We’ll be lighting the barbie 20th July, 3rd, 10th, 17th and 31st August.
Murder Mystery Evening – fully booked
On Saturday 24th August at 6.30pm join us for a Murder Mystery evening to include a 3 course meal and your assistance in sleuthing on the Unsolved Case of Jack the Stripper. Bookings can be made here.
Cider Tours
Our popular cider tours will run on the following dates, all at 1.15pm, followed by food and tasting.

It’s £25 for a tour, tasting and Ploughmans per adult; £15 for children (apple juice available too). If you are a large group interested in a tour at a different time, do get in touch as we may be able to set up a bespoke tour.
Here’s what’s happened so far…
As the school holidays start, we’ve a weekend planned to introduce you to Newton Court.
Friday 19th July is end of term Pizza Friday, serving 4.30 until 8.00pm.
Saturday 20th July is a day for families to visit; we’ll have children’s activities, lawn games, hay bales, our orchard trail and a treasure hunt. We’ll also be sharing our new Picnic Baskets – treat-time outdoor dining. We’ll have a barbeque menu running all through the afternoon until 8.00pm.
Steak Night
We’ll be taking bookings from 6pm on the evening of Saturday 27th July, through to 8.30pm for our steak night. Local sirloin, rump and fillet will be cut and cooked to order. Plenty of sides, salads and sauces will accompany the meat.
Woodland Trust
The Woodland Trust will be joining us in the café on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th of August to talk about their work throughout the country and give you the chance to find out how you can get involved.
